We initially adopted FastClose for financial reporting because the standard reporting capabilities of SAP were quite limited. FastClose allowed us to create all key reports, and what was particularly impressive was the interactivity and ability to drill down into underlying transactions, which is crucial for understanding the details behind the numbers.
SAP's modern design lacks the traditional balance tables found in most ERP systems, presenting significant challenges in reporting. Management requires both high-level information and detailed data. With FastClose's in-memory OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) engine, we can roll up SAP's transaction table in real-time, providing the accounts team with exactly what they need.

It proved highly effective, utilizing their Excel plug-in which enables live FastClose reports to be run directly in Excel. Now, I can generate management reports with budget variances directly from FastClose or through the Excel plug-in, saving me a significant amount of time.”
