Planning & Budgeting
For most businesses, modelling and planning the next forecast is done in Excel. Your users live in it and we embrace it:
- Submit budget or forecast data direct from Excel using the FastClose Excel Add-In using all the formulae & modelling power that Excel offers,
- Exploit all the modelling power that Excel offers, including driving your submissions from detail models in other worksheets.
- Report on planned scenarios in FastClose alongside the latest actuals from your ERP, in real time: no need to replicate balances or transactions out of your ERP to a separate planning system.
- Plan at your preferred level of detail e.g. by division or department or as consolidated totals
- Plan by full account code, the nominal or even summarised P&L level (eg: Total Sales).
- Unlimited scenarios and revisions
- Control data entry by person or group, lock down by periods, years, divisions, etc
It takes just a few moments to set up and costs a fraction of the price of some of the traditional planning products available, while also not overwhelming your staff with training requirements or saddling your IT team with a complex system to maintain.
It’s good to Chat Bot
FastClose has extensive tutorials and context sensitive help across the product but sometimes you still just don’t quite know where to go to start to solve a problem.
In 3.1, FastClose comes with a built in AI Assistant that you can chat with, just like ChatGPT. Solve your problems without having to know which help area to access, for example:
- How do I change the color of a column?
- How do I add a subtotal?
- What is a hierarchy and how do I start building one?
- Show me how to add 2 column values together when the account code starts with a 1
New and Improved Features
- Our Excel Add-In now offers the ability to drill through to other reports, adding new worksheets as you go, enabling you to reveal the detail behind a balance, or follow a transaction across subledgers.
- The hierarchy editing experience has been simplified, for example to make the adding of new nodes more intuitive.

- This release sees particular support for GRNI reporting and three way reconciliation from the GL.
- Part Operations cube and a Requisitions cube have also been added.
- Numerous smaller tweaks and new dimensions across the breadth of our Epicor cubes.
Nextworld
FastClose integrates even more closely with Nextworld through the used of a shared Single Sign On system to enhance data security.
Acumatica
FastClose are delighted to announce the arrival of FastClose for Acumatica.
The result of months of work to integrate FastClose to Acumatica via their open APIs, we launch with real time content across Acumatica, including:
- GL
- AR,
- AP
- Sales Order Processing
- Purchase Order Processing
