At the November 2021 Epicor UK User Group meeting, FastClose were pleased to announce that over the past few months they have been working to deliver Epicor Public Cloud Support via the Epicor REST API.
Showing off an Alpha version of the product at the meeting with Epicor Reports, the experience is almost identical to using FastClose over Epicor “on-prem” installations.
As well as enabling Epicor Public Cloud use, there is also a benefit for FastClose “on-prem” customers in this technology, as remote users no longer require a VPN to gain access to data which makes the user experience whether home working or in the office identical, important for an increasingly remote located workforce.
Similarly, where customers have deployed FastClose using Terminal Services or RD-Web, it is possible to eliminate that hosting cost, deploying the FastClose App direct to the user’s laptop (sweating that asset) and connecting over REST.
Currently in Alpha, FastClose are keen to hear from partners, customers and other early adopters on Epicor releases 10.2.400 (May 2019) and upward, who would like to participate in the Beta program running from December 2021 through to the GA release scheduled Q1 2022.
