Support for Epicor Public Cloud goes live

Starting January 2022, FastClose have added support for Epicor Public Cloud to the FastClose product. As a result, Epicor Public Cloud customers can now enjoy exactly the same FastClose reporting experience as their Epicor “on premise” peers  across the full breadth of Epicor modules (GL, AR, AP, Sales Order Processing, Purchase Order Processing, Inventory, Manufacturing, Projects and more).

Benefits

No staged data, it’s a direct live connection to the production Epicor Public Cloud instance, holding up to the minute numbers.

As you’d expect with Epicor Public Cloud, there’s no need for a VPN.

No need for additional replica SQL Server reporting databases and their associated costs.

All existing FastClose functionality and reports – just work.

Deployment Architecture

The deployment architecture, for Epicor Public Cloud customers looks like this:”

Using standard Epicor REST APIs, data is retrieved from the Epicor Server using standard https endpoints.

Hosting

The customer has a variety of options regarding how to host the FastClose product.

The items marked as being located in the “Microsoft Azure” cloud in the diagram above can be hosted by

  • FastClose,
  • by one of our implementation partners,
  • or by the customer themselves in their own data centre or using Azure, AWS or similar.

FastClose hosting requirements are low and competitive because most of the data processing is carried out on the user’s PC, making the most of your business investment in those assets.
